Bio.
I am Fátima Reyes, based in Mexico City, with a degree in Graphic Design by UNAM-FesAcatlán, I've worked as photographer and photo editor. Interested in learning I expanded my education in different institutions like ACM and the British Academy of Photography.
I've had mentors in different facets of photography like documentary, portrait, studio, processing editing, retouching, digital manipulation, theory and philosophy.
My work carry the influence of photographers like Flor Garduño, Maya Goded, Man Ray, Henri-Cartier Bresson, Witkin & Witkin, and more contemporary photographers like Joey L., Victor Lax, Blanca Charolet, Sebastiao Salgado, Elizaveta Porodina, an even fllmmakers like po Akira Kurasawa and Wong Kar-Wai.
I enjoy the plastic possibilities of photography both in shooting and editing. I specialize in portraiture and in my personal work I prefer the use of natural light but I also consider artificial light to be a great tool.
Working with private clients, companies and institutions strengthen my flexibility and ability to change. A multidisciplinary approach and an inclination for research and methodology makes my work different.
In 2024 I worked in Pilar Nava's studio renewing and elevating the photography editing style.
